Qunell Kitchen

This kitchen remodel took an outdated layout with insufficient storage into a cooks dream. The revised layout allowed this vibrant family ample cooking space for two without increasing the overall footprint of the space.

Qunell Kitchen Design

Project Scope:

220 sq ft

Kitchen remodel & flooring replacement in the foyer

Design scope:

Floor plans & elevations, paint selections, custom cabinetry design, plumbing fixture selections, featured over the stove vent, tile backsplash, flooring selections, lighting, storage, electrical locations, and pantry design.

The goal of this project was to increase the functionality, increase storage, and update the aesthetic. In maintaining the overall footprint, every square inch mattered. We removed the drywall pantry and created a wall of custom built-ins that not only provided more storage but also provided a decorative display for the family’s keepsakes. By relocating the doorway ever so slightly between the kitchen and the dining room, we were able to relocate the refrigerator out of the center of the room to create a better working flow and more balance within the space. By including the microwave in the island, we were able to create a dynamic design feature with a contemporary stove-top vent and full-height specialty wall tile over the stove. The kitchen has lots of features for improved efficiency and full utilization of the millwork. Ever corner is used and is easy to access.
