Special Spaces Charity
Special Spaces is a not-for-profit organization that creates dream bedrooms for children with cancer. Intentional Spaces LLC was lucky to be asked to join a team to design a bedroom for a very special girl and her sister. The goal is to provide these children with a special space where they can not only sleep, but also play, heal and spend time away from the challenges of their illness. A custom bedroom designed just for them. Whether they are dreaming of a princess castle, a butterfly bedroom, a pirate ship or a sports theme, we transformed the child’s existing bedroom into a place that only he/she can imagine. A place for them just to be a kid!

Bedroom Makeovers for a little girl and her sister
Design scope:
Floor plans & elevations, paint selections, wallcoverings, window treatment, bedding, furnishings, artwork & accessories, lighting, storage, electrical locations, and closet design.
The main focus of this project was to provide dream bedrooms for a little girl fighting cancer and her bigger sister. The makeover needed to be installed within a day and along with considering budget limitations per the charity. Over a few weeks, we interviewed each girl and work with their wish lists to provide them with the bedrooms of their dreams. A team of contractors, laborers, and our team pulled together these two bedrooms in just a few hours. We can’t say enough about Special Spaces and their mission to help sick children and their families. What an honor it was to be part of this project!
